Yemen........ mmmmm..... Is it a wise move???
Need some advice / info on Yemen please.
Been offered a job there on a good expat package but its difficult to find info on the web about expat life there. Will be based in Sana'a with a wife and teenage daugther.
After two years in Saudi we're not bothered about a lack of hectic nightlife!!We're just not sure how 'normal' it is there???
Do expats live om compounds like Saudi?
Thanks to all for any advise / info.

This is a little info on Yemen. Hope it is of some use! My husband and I also did 4yrs in saudi, so would be very interested to find out the differences in yemen & saudi. If you do go you could be a valuable source of info, as not a lot of info around! Good Luck

Well let me put it this way,
Saudi Arabia, The difficulties in there are brought into that country by the Yemeni immigrants, the Hardcore thick minded fanatics. likes of Bin ladins
Yemen must be better than Saudia because all the scumbags from there have moved to Saudia.

Yes it was, the Sauds are from yemen themselves. Thus the name Saudia arabia.
The history also goes back to the war of the Crusaders, when the Austrian King gathered an army from the entire europe, Russia and then they attacked Jerusalem and killed the muslims. then the crossant was invented to mark the Victory of the crusaders, Crossant represents the Islamic Cresent so the crusaders celebrated that by eating a crossant.
Until Later, The KURD salah-ud-din Al Ayoubi rised up and decalred Jihad and so then the Crusaders were defeated and after this time the capital of the Islamic world was changed from Madina to Syria.
