Hi all,

Could anyone advise on recent (last 12 months) or current knowledge/experience of living/working in Yanbu please?

I am a british resident and currently working through the mobilisation process for deployment to Yanbu with a planned arrival date of 26 April. It would be great to learn/understand car hire (is it needed), how/where to grocery shopping, taxi services, can you purchase child car seats locally, are their western expats meets etc. is anyone familiar with the Cove compound?

Hello! I can help! We lived in Yanbu since 2020. We also lived on The Cove.
There is a mall nearby “Dana Mall” that has a Mothercare with car seats in.
We have a car there but The Cove offers a taxi service where you book a driver to take you somewhere.
The compound also has a daily bus service to various malls/ supermarkets where they pick you up and bring you home a few hours later.
There are taxis to book and Uber as well.

thanks! where are you originally from? Do you have kids?
Is their much of a "social" gathering(s) within the Cove?

I am from the UK too. I have 3 children here. Yes there at often events going on and people meeting up .

My wife and 2 kids (3 & 5) aren't joining me initially...my wife has reservations with KSA but will be joining me for about 6-7 weeks starting in July...any suggestions on where/what to do to help convince her?

Any idea the rough cost of the Town Houses / Apartments in The Cove?

Any other nice places to live in Yanbu, and their cost?
