Is it worth while moving to the UAE
Hi all
I am new on here but somewhat a seasoned expat. I am currently in London and work has given me the opp to live in the UAE. I have worked in Dubai and spent even holidays there before that - so I kinda know what's it like there. We/work got 3 offices (D, A+D, AA) but it seems I only get housing support if I move to Al-Ain:confused: So my questions: Is it worth while moving to AA? Is there anything "big" enough happening? What is the economy there? Everyone mention it is quiet there - is it suicidal quiet there? There are no info of substance (!) to be found on www re Al-Ain other then the "marketing department" How easy is it for a woman to find work in AA? etc I worked in the desert before (Aus) but having now lived in London for a few years I somehow cant imagine AA being "the place to be". Help is REALLY appreciated AK |

Re: Is it worth while moving to the UAE
only if you are confident about the credentials of your future employer out here.
Many employers treat their employees vert poorly and you have little in the way of employee's rights to protect you. |

but you can pay to have the ban removed. things are not as strict if you have a free-zone visa |
Re: Is it worth while moving to the UAE
Hi, I live in Al Ain and love it here. Its like a smaller version of Abu Dhabi but without the coast and the humidity. Definitely doesnt feel as if you are living in the middle of the desert! However, if you prefer big city living, it may not suit you. AD and Dubai are only an hour and a half away though.

Re: Is it worth while moving to the UAE
Al Ain is a very quiet place, specialised for students. kinda small emirate/ and cheaper than dubai and thats all. difficult to find a job in AA. you may live there and work in other emirates if you already dont have any job offer from AA.
