hi we are visiting Dubai for one week, we have hired an apartment at Dubai Marina and are just wondering whether its worth hiring a car? We will be going to interviews, my new work place, catching the tennis probably going to Wafi City etc so is it worth it or should we stick to taxis? We have never been to Dubai before - is it easy to find your way around?

Definitely use taxis. Quite cheap. Driving would be a nightmare for you.

yeah, taxis are cheap...and some of them might even know more about how to get to places than you if you're lucky, lol...

you can't blame them though... when i was there in the summer i was driving around one day no problem... the next day the road layout was comepletely different!

oh i don't mind that...but it does pee me off no end when they don't even know where fairly major landmarks are...and they never, ever seem to know the fastest route to get somewhere...
