working in the UK

working in the UK
Hi all,
is there a website such as this for those that are not british expats.
I am looking for information on working in the UK.
I believe I have to be sponsored to work in the UK by a company (i'm aged over 28) but i'd rather work on a contract basis rather than full-time.
I do not have the 65 points to get in on the Highly Skill migrant Programme.
Anyone have any links to information...aside from the home office website.
Thanks
KD

Re: working in the UK
There's a few yank expat sites for the UK I know of...
But it's pretty hard getting a work permit in the UK, easiest way is to marry a brit
But you'll get more info posting in the moving to UK forum of the site.

I can get in on sponsorship - have before - but this time I want to work on contract basis....makes it that bit harder.
thanks for the links.
