work Visa for (non-employee)
Hello Everybody ,
This is my first participation here , i appreciate any help.
I have got a job offer in a company there in a tech position , but i'm appointed as a consultant and I won't be construed to be an employee of the company.
The company says it will support the visa and labor process by providing me with written documentation as well as other support (oral exchanges with the authorities if requested !!) for validation of the process .
However, i will have to complete the paper work myself.
so , I'm little confused here . Is this normal ? and how can the procedures go ? should I contact the UAE Embassy directly or what should I do ?

Sounds odd - surely the company needs to be your sponsor? Many people have self-employed position (consultants if you like) with companies and have residency visas with the company.
