Why are we still here?
 

I've been following the thread "Help! Dubai or Perth?" and most of the people that have replied are living in Dubai.

If we'd rather live in Perth (or anywhere else for that matter) why are we still here? :confused:

For me I agree I'd rather live in perth - but at this point in my life it's more important to try and get ahead financially - and it seems in my industry this is about the only place I can do it. So I guess what it means is for now i'd rather live in Dubai in actual fact, even though i'd say (not having been there) that perth would be much better in all other aspects than living in this :curse: sh.ithole.

Well we are here as we have been here ten years now and I really don't want to be anywhere else. I love the climate, hate the traffic!!! I have said many times before that I have no intention of leaving the UAE but would love to get out of Dubai and into an another Emirate which would be more cost effective in the long run. It is different for me as my Dad is here as well as other family members too. I have got my support group too which is all dubai based and the work I do for EPW as well. If I was to move out of the UAE I think I would find it hard to settle to be honest with you.

My history proves otherwise...But I never tried for Perth or anywhere in AUS...

good point - may be should start another thread with WHY ARE WE HERE??? never mind why are we still here!!!! sometimes the story behind how we ended up here in the first place may be very interesting.
