Where to stay in Dubai
 

Hello all,

Myself and a friend have 4 nights in Dubai mid January on our way back from Oz.

Does anyone know of the areas suitable for chillin / sunbathing /. shopping / few beers etc?

Not looking to pay a fortune, a nice hotel in a decent (bars / restuarants /shops ) area with a decent price if possible?

Never been before so am looking at Hotel deals but no ideas what the areas are like, any info much appreciated.

I can't really help, but till someone else can, it's worth doing a search as I'm pretty sure there's been a few threads in the past worth checking out...

We arranged similar, with the help of the good people of this forum, for my husband back in September.

don't build your hopes up over the sunbathing, January can be quite wet, there are plenty of hotels here it depends on your budget really :)

Dubai Marina has good beach access, restaurants, bit short on bars within walking distance but some good ones a short taxi drive.

Premier Inn has a special offer at the moment, but in Silicon Oasis and Dubai Investment Park which aren't great tourist locations.
