What happens to them?
Does anyone know if any of these cars that were dumped at Airports etc when people left are sold off via auctions here or anything? Or if there are car/bike auctions in the UAE anywhere?

But how can this be?? Good old Lt Gen Tamim said that the stories of hundreds of cars dumped at airports, apartment blocks etc was wrong..
If so, what are they auctioning?? |

Only 20 or so cars on the whole site (and they are poo!) Maybe there are no cars after all!!! Manheim are one of, if not THE biggest auctioneers in Europe (maybe the world) for auto's so if they have no stock then maybe auctioning isn't that popular here?

My husband was at the airport the other night & saw some 50 cars dumped on just one the the levels of the carpark. Or he might have been hallucinating.

Re: What happens to them?
Hubby and I took a drive up north the other weekend and were amazed to see Dubai cars littered all over the place - covered in dust and semi valid registrations - probably thought the car would be harder to find if it was dumped outside Dubai borders - and they weren't rentals

Re: What happens to them?
You could try approaching your bank to see if they have any cars that have been impounded that you want to buy direct from them - at the end of the day the want their money back - they don't really care how they get it

He judged them as dumped because they were filthy or because the keys were in them or some other reason? Proper question :)
