I have been reading a lot about the debt load expats in the UAE have. Many are running away. What is going on?

No seriously because theere were like 3000 cars left at the Airport. Banks will have thier hands full to go after these people.

I have seen few threads but no one seems to know how far the banks will go and how much money they will have to spent to collect. Are you in the UAE?

I am with the Health Care. It seems that the Banks had very relaxed rules and racked up record debts on the back of consumer lending. I know that once you ran away, you can never go back even in the transit to the UAE as you will be arrested.

I was! I was asking if he knew or worked with people who had been flying through and got arrested.

I'm also interested because of work we are trying to do with jails here and the inmates in them.

Hun its quite simple - nothing like this has ever happened in Dubai - those of us that got caught out had to leave and we wait every day to see if a letter or a phone call happens.... if and when it does i will post on here!

It is not a recommended move and should be avoided at all costs, but not the cost of being stuck in the UAE or worse in jail!
