Default Western-style furniture stores in AD

Am looking for western-style furniture stores in AD. IKEA is kinda limited and the local style despite some nice elements is a bit heavy for my taste. Am looking for a futon and a few sideboards. Also, smth like a bed/bath/beyond in the US would be helpful so find all those little bits & pieces.

Saw a funky one next to the bmw dealer on Hamdan (?) Rd. and a relatively large mixed style one on airport rd across the road from Manhal Palace Gdns. Any other ideas? The malls seem to be pretty limited.

Also looking for good bookstores. Any leads are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Snoopy

I thought that there was a Home Center at the Marina Mall, which is an alternative to IKEA but not the greatest.
As far as book shops are concerned AD no longer has a House of Prose as they got priced out of their old place, the nearest is at Ibn Battuta Mall which is an hour away but well worth the drive for cheap books Opening hours daily 10-9 PM, Fridays 2-9 PM. Telephone: (04) 368-5526.
Al Gazelle golf club by airport has a large book shelf by the driving range turn left when go in gate and you can swap or borrow books there free of charge

There is a big book shop in Marina Mall opposite Sand, Sea and Sports.
