Hello,

Can someone please tell me where the western expat communities in Abu Dhabi are located? The office would be located somewhere close to Corniche road near the Sheraton office so a close commute would be appreciated.

Preferably with 3 or more bedrooms apartments or houses?
Closer to the downtown area (if you can define that in AD)
With shops and restaurants close by.
A pool or gym might be nice in the building or area
Not close to the mosques i.e as i hear the wake up calls at 5am may not be so pleasant.
Also is the parking situation decent or not

We have not visited but are planning to visit soon and would prefer to narrow down the list of places to see if things work out.

don't know about AD but it's impossible not to be near a mosque in dubai...i love the call to prayer, it never wakes me up...you will need to get used to it...

There are communities all over! I know people who are in Seashore Villas and Mangrove Village which is approx 15mins drive from the centre of town. Both these places have v gd facilities - gym, pool, shops, good parking etc.

As for not being near any mosques - no friggin chance. They are everywhere. You do get used to the calling and I just tend to sleep straight through it now!

no more annoying than bloody church bells!
think I have about 6-7 mosques within 1km of my place. very rarely notice it.
