We will call you back...
Called my bank to ask about insurance - Nice lady takes down my details and promises to get one of their 'dedicated' insurance brokers to call me back.
That was 3 weeks ago....nothing yet.
Called Fujeirah Flying School re issues with my licence....Chap takes down my details and says he will call back....that was a month ago....nothing yet.
Called Al Yousef Motors regarding a test drive of one of their vehicles. Again - got told i'd be contacted shortly....you'd never guess the status of this.
Has anyone ever been called back?
In all three cases i'm trying to give these people money and prop up their business. It seems the customer has to do all the work in this god forsaken country.
Now...where were we on the tipping debate?

I don't think I ever have been either.
