Yes, that's the real pain (well, that and the ridiculously high roaming call charges)... still, at least it's gone down a bit - used to be about 3000 dhs IIRC.

What's the point? Roaming using our UK mobile is much cheaper than with Etisalat, contract or no.

I mean if its just for the odd business trip - I haven't found it that expensive and we use ours mobile to mobile from overseas on a regular basis.

Saves buying a UK PAYG phone or why not purchase a sim card from the country you are visiting - not sure about US but you can get them in most countries now.

We can just get a guarantee letter from the company, which etisalat takes instead of the deposit so did it on my phone and hubby has his company mobile which is roaming anyway.
