Re: VPN

Vpn is a small software that you connect to before using skype or loading up pages thats are blocked.

There are loads out there. just do a google seacrh for vpn.

The one i use is Witopia. http://witopia.net/

$40 for the year and skype and all blocked pages open up

Re: VPN

you pay for it they send you an email with a link. download the file and thats it. once installed a little icon appears in the taskbar in the right handcorner. double click it to connect

Re: VPN

also use personalvpn from Witopia.
by far the best value and good unless you want to watch BBC/Ch4 etc in which case you need a different one which will give you a British IP address.

I use these guys:

http://www.intl-alliance.com/store/i...products_id=64

Don't know if they are the best value, but it gives you a UK IP Address and hence you can use iPlayer etc etc.

Really? When I sorted it out (which i'll grant you was much earlier this year) did it without an existing UK IP Address.....

Just tried again bypassing my VPN and going through the UAE servers. Definitely works: www.intl-alliance.com

Re: VPN

Anyone know of one that will let me watch BBC iPlayer then?

I thought I had my TV issues sussed - got logged in to my sister's Sky Player, but that's now saying that since my IP Address is abroad, that I can't access it. I'm assuming a VPN getting me a UK IP address would work for that, too?

I've googled and found www.vpngates.com - does anyone know if this one would work? Any experience of this one? Its $120 a year.

Cheers
