Does anybody know what the domestci voltage is in Dubai, i.e 240v or 110v.
Also do they use Uk style plugs and sockets or US?

The voltage is 220 and most sockets are three pin sockets similar to the below.

Dubai 50Hz 220V. You will have no problems plugging in any british electrical device.
The uk is 50Hz 230V.
Very small difference.
