Default Visa Rules and marriage

I wonder whether the new visa rules will create a wedding surge amongst expats, or will it make everyone go back home more often?

its what we have been saying in other threads, new rules coming in on 1st aug, please look up gulf news the local newspaper and they will inform you a little. in order to come here to work you need to have a employment visa first and not come in on a visit visa and then change to an employment visa later.

It means that the wife has to be in the UK to be sponsored by her husband!

I wonder how long it will take the husbands to get round to sponsoring their wives??

I dont think it will rush anyone into marrage...
If both couples have working visas of their own then they can continue to live together with their part-time maid and nothing will change.
(as long as they dont get caught that is)
