Even after 60, expats can keep working

By Diaa Hadid, Staff Reporter
Dubai:

Employees older than 60 and working at specialised jobs will be able to keep renewing their work visas, labour officials said.

The list of professions, however, has not been finalised.

Senior officials at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs confirmed that Dr Ali Bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi, the minister, will soon issue an administrative order.

Humaid Bin Deemas, assistant undersecretary of administration and finance, said several heads of private sector companies had asked the minister to reconsider the decision to ban expatriates older than 60 from working in the UAE.
Well thats good news! Makes some sense, at last!
