Default visa question...

...for a friend, soz if it's been answered on here before, if it has, i can't find it, lol...

anyway, if you have a DIC visa and it is cancelled with a NOC can you exit it and re-enter at the omani border or do you have to leave via the airport?? (they have been told that on a normal visa you can exit and re-enter at the omani border but if you have a DIC visa that has been cancelled you have to leave via the airport)...

...thanks

MM, xx

Dubai Internet City (free Zone)

cant imagine why a person would have to fly out! you get the exit/entry stamps in your passport at the Omani border.

Some companies want to get a receipt from the Dnata desk at the airport to show that former employees have left the country. Think it helps them get their guarantee back! that is probably why they are saying it!

The visa is the same as a NON-free zone company.

The point about free zones is that the Ministry of Labour cannot dictate things like 'the employee must have a degree' etc, but the visa itself is still a Dubai government document, and normal rules apply.......

Correction - it's a UAE govt stamp, not a Dubai one.
