The prisons are full of people banged up for murder, assault etc. But if you don't hear about it, it doesn't happen!

FWIW, there's far more violent crime here than most expats are aware of. The key thing is that it's (usually) not directed at Westerners and doesn't get reported in the non-Arabic papers.
The prisons are full of people banged up for murder, assault etc. But if you don't hear about it, it doesn't happen!

So I leave the UAE say 5 weeks ago and now in UK.
Today we go up West for shop,lunch,cocktails and matinee.
On the way we see maybe 5 guys kicking the shit outta some dude ????
These guys like city fellas............I mean -why???It really made me sick to my stomache.I am 34 and worked all over the world-never felt like I did this evening when I lived/worked in Doobeye/AD............
