Re: Value of an MBA from UK in UAE
Experience is always better but MBAs aren't wholly ignored, they do add some value.

Re: Value of an MBA from UK in UAE
Dubai is one of those places where such diploma mill degrees are probably worth.
Many HRs in Dubai are plain dumb so they don't know the difference among a top MBA (a rigorous program) and a for-profit MBA from the shittiest academic institution in the world (a waste of time or money). I wouldn't be surprised your average HR "specialist" in Dubai would hire an MBA from the University of Phoenix (no offense) over a MFin from MIT or an MiM from LBS with experience in top firms. Just look at the number of "MBAs" offered in UAE from universities no one has ever heard of (with the obvious two or three exceptions we all know). So go for it if you plan to return to Dubai or India. Of course it would be completely worthless in the UK or any Western competitive economy. |

The Open University MBA is very well regarded the world over. It does not appear in league tables because it is a distance learning course. It is also cheaper than most others.
