Used Books / Book World
Salaam,
So I'm just a little itchy for some new books to read...a couple of people have recommended Book World in Satwa as a good place to shop for used books.
1) Does anyone know where Book World is? I tried to locate it last night, but to no avail.
2) Also, any other recommendations on book shops, preferably good, used ones?

sorry, don't know where book world is, but you could try house of prose...there's one in jumeirah plaza (the pink shopping mall on the beach road) and one in ibn batuta...

They have well outdated academic books with 3-500dhs price tags on...

Keep an eye out for charity book sales too, as you will really get bargains then.
There is also a library in MoE, next to Ductac, but I don't know the opening hours.

Hello stranger! There is a small bookshop next to Hyper Panda in Dubai Festival City where they always seem to have loads reduced...also the newly opened Magrudys is not too far from there. Better getting bulk buys from Feline Friends regular sales, though.

I'm on their site now, but don't see anything posted about book sales. how do you find about the book sale?

I am organising a book sale next month for Helping Hands. I need plenty of stock though so if anyone has stuff to donate please get in touch. We also sell DVD's and CD's. We sell the books at 3 for 10 dhs

I will do, we raised 4000 dhs at the last one! As I said once I get enough stock we will be up and running. Someone has donated a ton of DVD's, box sets and all sorts of stuff - amazing!
