Which hotel do you have in mind?

The Intercontinental have specially reserved rooms for female business visitors, so they are worth a try.

Sadly this is one occasion where you have to pay up a bit to ensure the room is a safe place to stay - AVOID the 'cheap' downtown places.

Alternative - there are 'serviced hotel apartments' available on a temporary basis at some of the compounds.......... not sure of the details.

Which compound are you on, and what's the problem with the water?

Check out http://www.luthanspa.com/ - Riyadh's female-only hotel.

As The Dean says, though, price may be an issue.

We once stayed for a few nights in guest accommodation on Kingdom Compound so if you know anyone who lives there, contact them. Riyadh is a place where you simply have to know other expats as you never know when an emergency can arise. Otherwise, doesn't hubby have any westernised Saudi workmates? You will find Saudi families very hospitable.

Hi, sorry Kingdom Compopund is full (of flight crews I think). Four Seasons is nice - but pricey I would think. Do hope you get sorted. The offer of meeting up for a coffee is still on. PM me.

Cheers
