Default 'unlocking' english phones

Anyone know where to get this done? I've got an LG Shine and I love it, but it won;t work with my SIM card over here, whenever I take it to somewhere that unlock phones they said 'LG, no, no',

I can get it done from my provider back home but it'll cost £15 and more importantly take 28 days,

I was going to buy a cheap phone out here to use but its a bit of a waste of time really,

anyone?

Ebay, 30 quid, and they email you the unlock number almost straight away. I still think 30 quid's a bit steep, though. You used to be able to have your phone unlocked for a fiver.

Google it...

I did this previously and found the unlocking software for a Nokia phone for free, and was therefore unable to unlock an old phone when I needed to. You may get lucky with the LG also.

nah I paid £2.99 to 2 companies and they said they couldn't do it.

And never refunded me either.

i twice paid GBP 5 to a Persian geezer in Woking market - 5 minutes, job done both times!

I haven't really seen that sort of operation here in the markets, Bur D etc... probably no market for it as local phones don't have the locking/unlocking issue (or do they? I only have a cr@ppy one and I can switch between my DU and Orange sims no problem)

I bought a DVD of the guy who comes and waters our plants, nothing rude (unfortunately) but it had 18 films on on DVD,

I haven't tried it yet but the other lads have some and they say they work.

why would you want a rude DVD of the guy watering your plants?
