University Salary in Saudi

Hello,

I hope everyone is well.

Does anybody know rough estimates of salaries for Assistant/Associate Professors at Universities in Saudi Arabia?

I’m currently working in Qatar but have contacts in Saudi who are forwarding my CV to colleagues at universities and they are asking me 1) what my current salary is and 2) what salary I would expect.

I don’t work in a university in Qatar but have friends who work in HR at some and they say roughly:
Assistant Prof - basic 25-35k/month (QAR)
Associate Prof - basic 35-45k/month (QAR)
SAR & QAR pretty much 1-1.

Is this similar in Saudi? Anyone know roughly what a total salary package would be for these roles? I see another thread on here where an Assistant Prof with 2 years post-doc experience was offered 50k SAR total package.

I completed my PhD in 2018 and have over 60 publications with previous lecturing roles in UK at Bachelor & Masters level + industry experience of 10 years at high level in sport.

Any replies welcome.

Thank you

Most of the more senior academic jobs in KSA are held by well-qualified and competent Saudis. I worked at KFUPM for 10 years on the campus in Dhahran and that was my observation. The jobs on offer to foreigners were mainly at the lower levels

Yes, no problem about job hierarchy it is more so about the salary.
