Default UK to UAE: overseas cargo service

Hello,

Some very basis question.

Moving to Abu Dhabi in Aug. Can you recommend a overseas cargo service that is reliable with a fair price?

Thanks
Jiadong

They gave me a quote, 2500 GBP for 7.5 cubic meters (or 2000 GBP for 5 cubic meters). And it will take about 8-10 weeks to arrive in Abu Dhabi. Is it a fair price?

Why not get a second quotation? Try Allied Pickfords. They moved us from UK to Dubai by sea in 2005 (1 x 40’ container, fully insured - approx GBP5,000 - 8 weeks); 2012 Dubai to Muscat, Oman - overland - (1 x 40’ container, not insured but including 10 days warehousing - approx GBP2,500; 2019 Muscat to Kuala Lumpur by sea (1 x 40’ container, not insured - GBP4,000 - 3 weeks).

2014 going from AUH to London 'Dh18,850 for 28 cum. in sole use container. Packing 24/25 March. No insurance.'

To everyone reading this thread - in the end i chose Pickfords. I think it all depends on how much stuff you have to transport. I am not moving furnitures, just some boxes. In the end, i spend about 600 pounds + 100 pounds insurance. I also had quotes from PSS, Santa Fe and Crown Relocation. PSS is the cheapest but i don't like the insurance that they provide (although i've heard very good feedback from other people). The latter two gave a quote of GBP 2000+ after video consultation, but i think the price reflects an unrealistic estimate of the volume/size of the cargo.
