UK EXPAT, IT SUPPORT ANALYST
Hi Guys
I am a newbie on this and would appreciate some advice and info on job searches.
I have moved to Abu Dhabi with my wife who is working as a doctor, we have accommodation and transport provided.
I am looking for a job in the IT sector as a IT Support analyst in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, ideally in Abu Dhabi. What is a reasonable salary I should be aiming for?
Also does anyone have any contacts which they are willing to share so I can speak to people directly? I have been looking online for jobs and it is pretty crazy with some job vacancies getting up to 1000+ applicants
Thanks

Hi and welcome.
There's a similar question on another section of this Board. Whilst I'm no expert on IT, I do know that nearly all of the IT people I've come across in over 8 years in ME, are from the East. Mainly Indian / Pakistani/ Philippines nationality. Henceforth, the salaries are pretty low compared to what a Western expat would look for.
We've just recruited an 'expert' ERP guy, basic was coming in at 20K SR. General IT support will be around 5-7k monthly, Senior Systems Analysts would only be around 15k tops and that would be for other Arab nationalities.
Good luck.
