UAE and UK Mortgages
 

I've had about a million PM"s, calls and emails lately about mortgages and thought I would address the main points on this thread for the world to see.

Without getting into the wisdom of buying or not buying here it's clear plenty of people are and not a few are selling up back home to do so. There's actually often no reason why you can't keep your property back home and still get what you want over here in most cases but few people seem to know about this (no doubt thanks to the banks!)

There's evidently a need for better advice regardless of what people are doing and it's very clear a lot of folks are literally throwing money away in terms of interest rates and currencies which is a bit of shame since there's definately a loss of potential beer and fancy car budget - and less important things like kids education, retirement etc!:p

If anyone is buying or has brought here or in the UK (or both) I'd be happy to answer your questions but only on the strict condition that I get tons of Karma and at least one alcoholic beverage should their be a meet up in the future!
