interesting, but I think it will take them years to get this road toll system working never mind implementing VAT

I hope so too but doubt it ! They should spend money on the infrastructure - my cousin waited 3 months for a phone line - Etisalat had ran out of 'parts! ??? how they going to cope when all these new apartments are done??

Yeah last time around it took Etisalat months to install my broadband connection. One day I got a call out of the blue saying an engineer would be coming round.

The worst part was they could never give me an indication of when it was likely to happen, i.e. this week, month, year, decade. All they could say was 'no it wont be a year'. And all I could reply was inshallah this year.

very worrying, we moved last August into this apartment, we had no water or AC for over a week - they only answer we got was Inshalah! all the time. We ended up staying with my Dad. Then 3 months for a phone line!!!!!

Looks like I'll be coming back for more punishment!

I remember these water cut used to happen in 1994, no warning nothing. You couldn't wash or do anything. I used to take my toothbrush, etc to my building site and take a shower there.

when you coming back?? you will notice a BIG difference! 94 was a wonderful vintage!!!

VAT will be a good thing, it will hopefully inject a little bit of accountability into DM.
