UAE Move From UK with child
Hi,
I'll be moving to the UAE (hoping to) in the summer and want to of course take my son who is 10 years old.
I have been a single mum with him since he was a year old and just curious as to what I'll need to have before going there.
His father is not a British citizen and is an African citizen (haven't seen or heard from him in years).
Happy to pay for a lawyer if anyone has recommendations or direction to relevant sources.

Father named on birth certificate as we were still on/off then
legally married then

Prior to committing:
I would do some research on race and gender inequality in the middle east.
It would also be worth taking a look at the educational outcomes and costs common in the the region.

We still have people who think The Middle East is sort of like California. "Race and Gender Equality" ? Before arrival adjust your calendar to the 15th century !
