Default UAE licence

Friend looking for driving job in Dubai, several positions but ask for valid UAE licence. Is that what you get when you hand in your UK licence and it is changed to residential? Thanks in advance Julie

Yes.

But rather than looking for a driving job in Dubai, why doesn't your friend do something safer, like juggle knives while blindfolded?

In Abu Dhabi, you can use an international drivers license for hire car up until you get a residents visa, with that, you have to apply for a local driving license.

Having got the paperwork together, the whole process took around 30 minutes at the licensing office in Abu Dhabi.
