UAE Job Search + Accomodation
Hello,
I see there are others in situations similar to mine. I will be going to UAE to look for a job in the Banking/Finance industry. My dates and period of stay are pretty flexible, starting mid-june.
If there are others who plan to be there during that period, perhaps we could share an apartment of find some sort of arrangement along those lines.
I also have a few questions, if anyone can help:
1) I am still hesitating between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I think I'm gonna go to Dubai since I'm looking for a job in Banking/Finance. What do you think?
2) I am not sure how long Im gonna stay. Do you have an idea on how long it would take to find a job in the banking/finance sector, on average?
3) I wanna also look for a place to stay, that is relatively central (close to business district) and the least expensive possible. Is that possible in Dubai/Abu Dhabi, or am I dreaming? Are there any places you can suggest?
4) Finally, I am trying to set up a network of people to meet once i go there:
a) Recruiters
b) Potential employers in Banking/Finance
c) Other people it may be useful to meet
If you know someone in any of those categories, I'd appreciate if you could put me in touch.

faq's would be a good place to start to find agencys and people you could meet, there's also quite a few specialised recruiters, loads there for you to go through...

I am also intrested to find a job in UAE. I am graduating from MBA in July and would be happy to find a job to start in Aug-Sep. I would be most intrested in strategic planning and business analyses types of jobs.

Bob, thanks for the reply. I have about 5 years of work experience before my MBA. Some of my positions were marketing director and as chief marketing consultant. I have completed my MBA with entrepreneurship concentration. I am wondering how hard would it be to find a managerial level job.
