Default UAE Driving Licence

If you hold a European driving licence, do you have to apply for a UAE licence when you become resident there.....which involves doing a test?

Im a learner, well will be when the driving school pulls its finger out and gives me a date to start ... They are so slow!

Take a look at http://www.dxbtraffic.gov.ae this may help you but then it may not

Word of warning having just taken my road signal lecture ... Pedestrian crossings are not for pedestrains, they are for the car driver as we have to give way to on coming traffic ... This is what I was told last week! :scared:

Yes maybe, but it's obvious that MCA27 meant a driving test, as opposed to eye test.

Eye test is a procedure not a test! like visa, photographs, two legs, two hands and 1 arse.

yea, i found it kind of funny when everybody was complaining about the drivers here and how they should make the driving test harder, when euro/us expats don't even have to take a test to drive here, and other expats/nationals, have to register to take the test, wait three months, take the test, which is actually very difficult, and if they fail they have to wait 3 more months to take the test again, and again, and again
