Both pork outlets (that I know of) in Al Ain are shut too. The one next to Choithrams in the CBD and Abella. Lucky we stocked up on chops and bacon just last week! Thank you Mr deep freezer.

I've been eating pork on a daily basis for over a week now since I arrived in the Philippines...last night we killed one and spit roasted it whole - it was heaven but I don't think I can eat any more pork for a while now. 
As long as they don't ban beer I'll be back...am not planning to stay there for more than a few more years now anyways - tired of the place.

I'm smiling, hubby back from work and stopped off at spinney's and got me a good few packs of bacon, should see me through the next month or so, he did say though it was quite busy round the "pork" section
