Trapped in Qatar... a warning for Expats
We are all aware of the laws (look at that phrase again)....
However - you get a dubious promotion to MD and then this...
Doha, Qatar – May 28, 2009 - Since October 2008, Philippe Bogaert, 37, a Belgian TV producer, has been held hostage in Qatar due to laws that place control of his exit permit in the hands of a hostile employment sponsor.

Best to get in contact with expat security personnel who are able to smuggle you out of the country discreetly. The Pakistani refusing to sign his exit permit should be castrated and sent back to that stone age country of his (the one viciously jealous of everything their succesful neighbours have so far accomplished).

hey thats kind of unfair dont you think, there are unfair people from all parts of the world. I know it sounds like an unfair situation but the employers nationality should have nothing to do with it.

Im British with family origins from Pakistan, and l just thought its unfair to be bad mouthing Pakistan just because of a bad Pakistani.
Are there no unfair people from Britain? What about the all the MPs who REPRESENT BRITIAN unfairly using taxpayers money for their own benefit. Would it be fair to slander brits and uk just because of these rotten eggs???
