Transfer GCC Driving Licence / Import Car
Hi all,
I am waiting for my visa application to work its way through the system before starting my new job in Abu Dhabi. Hopefully, I should be there to start work early next month.
I have a UK driving licence which it seems can be converted to a UAE licence easily enough. However, my wife learnt to drive in Bahrain and therefore only has a Bahraini licence. The UAE government website seems to indicate that this will not be acceptable. Does anybody know if this is the case?
In addition does anybody know where definitive guidance can be found regarding importing a car from Bahrain to the UAE. There seems to be lots of sites that have a snippet of information but none with all the details!
