Traffic Related Fatalities in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has just released details of the RTA fatalities that occured in the Kingdom during 1427H...
283,648 reported accidents occured throughout the Kingdom
Thats 810 per day, or 34 per hour or one incident every 107 seconds..... And those are only the ones reported!!!!
35,884 people were injured as a result of an RTA
5,883 people died as a result of an RTA
Thats equivalent to one fatality every 15 hours.....
Does anyone know whether the UAE publish these stats?? Be interesting to see how they compare.....

How did you work out one fatality every 15 hours? I would say more like one person dying every 1.5 hours...

Yes, it should have read a fatality every 1.5 hours (Would have been better if I had just written hour and a half!!!!)
