Tips for Car Hire/Rental in KSA
Hi, I am sorry if this has been answered before - can anyone give me some advice on renting a car in KSA for 10 days to 1 month? - I know I can just go to the airport and get one from Hertz/Avis but are their cheaper solutions? and I would like unlimited or a high mileage.
Thanks

Re: Tips for Car Hire/Rental in KSA
Yullo,
Do you have a Saudi license?
If not, the one place I've found that is both reliable and that does not require a Saudi license is called Diplomat Rental. They have locations in Riyadh and Khobar and I'm sure other places.
For a daily rate, you can maybe go as low as 70/80 riyals a day for a manual, add 10 for an automatic. My monthly rate is 1500. This is for a small, older car (Aveo or Accent), basically the cheapest car you can find. You can pay 100 a day for an almost brand new car. They had Mitsubishi Lancers for 120-150 a day I believe, and a Grand Marquis for more. And of course there are other options available if you need an SUV or off-road vehicle or something.
EDIT: and for mileage, 200 kilometers a day. This seems to be pretty standard.
