is there a scheme simular to free cycle in abu dhabi?
just wondered, i need a new small table for my girlfriend as i lost the last one?
rather than just going to ikea i thought i would ask?

Well i was here at attending the world energy summit last week the company i was with needed a table to place flowers and leaflets on -i left the table at the national conference centre and over night it walked....now in trouble with girlfriend,,

Is it some EU directive that states that those who leave small tables at hotels are entitled to a free replacement from the Free Cycle Centre in Brussels????

Free cycle or real cycle whatever its called these days, is pretty useful IMHO. We've given away large bits of furniture in decent condition nad acquired other bits in return - desk for the kids for their studies, a piano are ones which spring to mind.
Can't you put out a 'Reward - Lost Table' poster if it ias sentimental value? Maybe post a pic of the table to help? Describe its distinguishing features? What name does it answer to etc....
I'm sure someone will spot it and return it to its rightful home.

It is encouraging peopel to recycle rather than to land fill, so yes, it will encourage people NOT to ship goods all of the shop!
