A taxi driver showed me his payslip on Thursday
Yikes. He also told me that lots of taxis have taken to circulating around the Marina rather than serving downtown Dubai, and that he quite happily refuses to pick up people going to places it'd be difficult to pick up another fare from.
I'm going to start tipping more, is all I can say.

The guy I talked to did a shift from 4am to 5pm. Don't fancy getting into a cab with a driver near the end of his shift

Nobody wants to go to the beach road at night, the ranches is great - phone the call centre and they turn up within ten minutes.

its called being fashionably late!
and this is Dubai. what ever happens on-time here!
you would have been very peeved last week. took 45 minutes from mine to the Zoo!

was jammed from the beach park to the turn off for the open beach. after that it was clear. must have been an acident on al wasl!
