Taking My Pet?
Oh, and the wife will point blank refuse any deal unless we can take our cat. I'm fine with the taking it as far as DXB/AUH, (although grudge the £150 for the rabies/passport), and the €160 Euro from KLM...
Any ideas if there any complications in UAE on taking in an animal, or any particular documentation required?

Re: Taking My Pet?
Doing it yourself can be simple (in AD at leats)
You can get the import certs online, but may need someone to sort out the e-dirhams card for you (200dhs per cat)
UAE is part of the pet passport scheme so is simplified. PM me if you have any questions regarding the process.

If you haven't already contacted Dubai Kennels & Cattery I can highly recommend Alison at Dubai Doghouse. She specialises in pet relocation and can tell you everything you need to know, and probably more!

Is The Doghouse open again ? We used them for our cats and they did the paperwork wrong and Emirates wouldn't load them, cost us a fortune in extra kennelling fees and redoing of paperwork - nightmare.
Posh Paws did the dogs for us - they were brill and the dogs had a ball staying with them for three weeks. Not sure of the number but do a google and you should find them.
