It was apparently a dodgy note suggesting that a bomb may have been planted.

I can just imagine it..

This is a note to say there is not a bomb aboard the plane.
Not in the pilots bit.
Not in first class or economy.
Not even in the hold.
Honest, there is not a bomb on this plane.
Thanks for your time.

If it is definately him, am just wondering what pushed him to do this? Does he have somethin against the brits? Or is he just seekin attention?

Whatever it is,... he made the biggest mistake in his life and he should bear the consequences.

Does anybody have comparable views that an AIRLINE would have a “strategy” in place, such as a BOMB HOAX by one of its own staff (as happened the day after) to take the UK MEDIA ATTENTION off the Australian tail strike incident? Ek 407 in Austrailia.
Lessons learnt from previous incidents i.e. JNB. That is, have a pre approved plan to take the media/public attention off a far more serious incident & photographed incident.
Just curious or maybe being way too sceptical & clandestine?

My G/F is crew and that same member was onboard a flight from Australia to DXB and there was a bomb threat on that same flight (notes posted in toilet etc).

They found 3 notes in total, non of the passengers noticed as it was crew who found the notes. Obviously pilot etc and authorities were informed.
DXB airport were supposed to give them a bay at the airport well away from any other traffic. Needless to say, they didnt and everyone was allowed off the plane without any meeting from police etc!.

Then, as we have seen, it happens again and they have identified this guy. My G/F says that he would have been the last guy you would have thought would have done it (i believe his dads a pilot for qantas also)
