Struggling for Accom in AD
How expensive are the hotels in AD!!!
Anyone know of any places to stay which are possibly not advertised on the internet.
Looking at spending around £80 a night.
Any help is tops.

Re: Struggling for Accom in AD
I have heard (but don't know for sure before anyone jumps down my throat) that The Officers' Club does accommodation. It was about Dhs400 a night, but might be more now. If you google you might get more info or a phone number, or you could always take a trek out there, it's not too far from the city.
BUT....didn't you do any homework before you upped sticks and came out here??? Anybody and everybody will tell you how expensive and hard to find both hotel and rental accommodation are.

Sorry LukeandJo - I didn't want anyone jumping down my throat and I jumped down yours! I will make amends by trying to find more info or a phone number for the Officers' Club for you.

Here you go:
http://www.emiratesresidence.com/hot...el/detail.html
Unfortunately it doesn't give any rates or an email address, but at least it confirms that they do do accommodation and there's a phone number and fax number.
Am I off the hook now?!

Cheers for the replies.
No we are still in the UK, travel out 26th Jan.
Doing as much research as possible. I think we will be forced to base ourselves in Dubai and get the bus across each day.
I will check out the Officers club. Thank you
