Started the Quest to move
 

Hello,

Been living in Auckland, NZ coming up for 2 years now. We have decided that although NZ is a top place, it is too far from the UK. We have always had a desire to live in the UAE and have made a decision to start looking for job opportunities.


I (Luke) have been hanging around the ME forum for a while, thought it was time for me to say hello!

We shall see how it pans out!

May I ask why you've 'always had a desire to live in the UAE' ?

It's not a bad place to be, but rarely on people's wishlist of ideal places to live.

I work in IT! We shall see how that one goes. I read mixed opinions about the IT industry... we shall see.

Appeal of the UAE - A totally different culture to that in the UK or NZ, an exciting place with opportunities to be had. I suppose that is our perception of it.

Early days yet, trying to drum up some interest in my CV. I appreciate its a hard task getting noticed. Hopefully something will come my way ..

Unless you are very senior or doing a specific niche type job most IT stuff here is done by lowly paid Indian guys. I think you may struggle a bit finding a job darling. Good luck though
