Have you considered a Nissan Sunny? Reliable and practical with good street cred - although it might struggle on the really big dunes.

Not as devastating as realising that when forces you to update it to iOS 17, your left indicator now activates your rear seat heaters.

The newly released Wrangler code is JL, while the last ones were JK. Make sure its the JL.

What does ****ing annoy me is the keyboard shortcuts. I don't know what any of them are. Trying t copy and paste? Close all the windows. Want to press a button to delete from behind the character? Four buttons and one might wipe your work.

Worked out how to avoid madness when buying a car in KSA - never arrive at the dealership with anything in mind except the manufacturer and, if you feel really confident, the model.
Instead, arrive at the dealer ready to buy whatever is there on the floor...

We had a YJ that I had my first driving lessons in. Wonderful car.
I will concede that the Macbook Air I have is borderline useless, but that's through my own mismanagement of photos and storage.

Cut and paste is command-C/V (much the same as MSFT) pre-delete is fn-backspace.
Close any window command-Q or the old fashioned MSFT way file_Exit
Let me know if you need anything else from the manual.

New Wrangler (JL) is about GBP45k in UK. Did briefly consider it but does not make sense. Could have sworn they were about GBP15k new in UAE in the noughties when I was there.

If true then it's much cheaper in Saudi, 20-50% cheaper depending on model I'm guessing. Rip-off Britain.

They have gone up but you can get deals on the base models around 100K AED (20K GBP) ish (I think) and the fully loaded Saharas are around 145K AED (30K GBP)

Dealer will quote 188k SAR in KSA for brand new (JL) 2018 Sahara "Premium". "Premium" in KSA just means some additional options like 8" screen, leather seats, but there is no ability to choose which options.
Should be able to negotiate down to 182k or below, chuck in tinted windows, etc.
Price will drop in new year, almost certainly.

I do like the Wrangler - bought a used JK previously - but just think they are over priced when buying new. Is the Premium version the 4dr Unlimited? Did look at buying a nearly new Grand Cherokee v8, but being typically Yorkshire and tight fisted, didn't want to shell out my hard earned.
