But they seem to be sold out at the moment ...
Better get one from the US. Sonystyle should ship to your Aramex address. There's also the new PRS-900 out (Daily Edition).
I might be selling my iRex Iliad soon if anyone is interested

Thank you for your email
Further to your concern we regret to inform you that we do not sell SONY E-book readers currently in the Middle-east market, including Saudi Arabia.
Due to regional copyright and E-content limitations, E-book content providers such as Amazon, SONY E-Books, do not offer Download of such books in our region (incl. UAE).
We seek your kind understanding and trust the above would be of much use.

Oh, it's importing for sure - especially when it comes to buying e-books.
There are ways around it though. If you really wanted to use the Sony books store, you could use a US VPN provider (4-5 USD per month) to access their server. This means that your IP address originates from the US and they can geo-block you!
Also, there are many other online bookstores that are accessible from anywhere (check www.mobileread.com out, lots of good resources there.
Good luck and happy e-reading!

I don't think you'll be able to find an ereader in any computer souq in KSA ... Re postal service, you are absolutely right. That's why I use Aramex - it's more expensive, but hell of a lot more reliable.
