Hi All

anybody live in Silicon Oasis? and any comments or know of similar suitable low cost housing in this area - not international city or Mirdiff

I lived there for about 6 months but that was 4ish years ago.

There's loads of places actually in Silicon that I expect aren't too expensive. We were in Ruby Residence (I think). Nice enough, nothing spectacular but did the job.

There's Sports City up the road. I don't know if it's closer to where you work or not as I don't know where you need to be.

What is "low cost" to you?

Silicon Oasis is not bad at all, but it maybe a bit out of the way depending on where you work. It is almost in the middle of the Dubai NE-SW spread, but it is a bit in wards towads the desert. Well connected though by roads. Taxis 50-70 AED for the town. Still, the area has an academic feel to it and it is relatively green and quiet. Not that many shopping options nearby, but it does have some supermarkets. It's a fine area.
