hi there, I also got offered a job at Sidra. It's definitely better than NHS but I'm not sure if i should accept it. Did you guys managed to negotiate the job offer or were they very strict about the salary package?

They are stick to the budget, the Middle East is struggling to balance its book due to reduction in the price of oil and Gas. Hence most companies can not offer the same packages they did 5 years ago.

I got a good offer but after accommodation costs, it doesn't look so appealing. But housing is very expensive over there. so I don't know...

transition accommodation? that doesn't sound right. So why not hospital accommodation first and then if you want you can find a place. what agent is that? I have been doing agency work for 9 years and not once I went anywhere without the agency sort out my accommodation, never mind moving to a country in the middle east.

That's what I mean.. hospital accomodation first.. then your choice whether to take the housing allowance and find your own place or stay in hospital accommodation

I would check you information they are no longer giving housing allowance as they have plenty of housing stock. Only if they cannot find you a house will they offer the housing allowance . It not guaranteed.
