Shutting SZR today....
can anyone confirm they are shutting SZR today from 2pm for security!?!
Fairmont are telling their guests this....!

They are shutting the Palm down, and only letting residents or VIPS up the trunk, AFAIK, from 2pm. Hadnt heard about SZR being shut tho, maybe meant the exit to Palm....

I knew about the shutting of the palm as i know someone who lives on there! The traffic is going to be bad enough without shutting the busiest road in the UAE. Everyone i have asked no nothing about it! Bloody Fairmont has got everyone wondering!

yeah, palm is defo shut from 2pm...but monsieur medusa works on szr and hasn't heard anything...

Apparently the exit to the Palm from SZR is to be shut from 2pm , and from 4pm the exit will be shut from Jumierah Beach Rd.
One things for sure, it'll be a nightmare getting that end of town later... and taxis even worse than normal.
