My Wife, twin 6 year olds and I are moving to Dubai in 2 weeks and would like some advise on the best places to buy - Sofa beds, sofas, Fridges, plates, cutlery, etc as we need to buy a few essentials until our main furniture arrives from the UK.
Also any advise on other forums or organizations to get to know people in Dubai.
Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

Ikea is always an option. they even put it together for you here.

I've looked on their website, but do'nt seem to have a lot of choice in sofa beds etc. unless they just show the basics and have more in store.
Any help is better than nothing!!!!!

all of those i think are in the Mall of the Emirates (MOE) but they are found in other Malls around dubai

The one has a big store in Jumeirah

Marina has a big store in Al Quoz
